Giorgio Vasta

Giorgio Vasta est né à Palerme, en 1970. Il a publié Il tempo materiale (Minimum Fax, 2008 ; Le Temps matériel, traduit par Vincent Raynaud, Gallimard, 2010) – premio Città di Viagrande 2010 et prix Ulysse du Premier Roman 2011. Le livre a aussi été édité en Allemagne, en Autriche, en Suisse, aux Pays-Bas, en Grande-Bretagne, en Espagne, en Hongrie, en République tchèque, aux États-Unis, en Grèce. Son roman suivant, Spaesamento (Laterza, 2010), a également été traduit en français par Vincent Raynaud : Dépaysement, Gallimard, 2012.

Giorgio Vasta collabore à divers journaux (La Repubblica, Il Venerdì, Il manifesto…) et revues (Nazione Indiane, Minima & Moralia). Il a été éditeur. Il a coécrit, avec la metteuse en scène et réalisatrice Emma Dante, le scénario du long métrage Palerme (titre original :Via Castellana Bandiera, 2012).
